Summary

This project will provide FPV drones to humanitarian medical and evacuation teams in Ukraine, helping them locate wounded civilians, assess danger, and guide safe rescue routes when roads and infrastructure are destroyed. By improving situational awareness and response time, the project will reduce risks for volunteer medics and enable faster, safer evacuations for people affected by the war.

Challenge

In frontline and near-frontline areas of Ukraine, civilians and volunteers are injured in environments where roads are damaged, access routes are unsafe, and visibility is extremely limited. Medical and evacuation teams are often forced to move without reliable, real-time information about threats, terrain, or the exact location of the wounded. This leads to delayed evacuations, higher risk for medics and volunteers, and preventable loss of life when every minute matters.

Solution

The project equips humanitarian medical and evacuation teams with FPV drones to locate injured civilians, assess risks, and identify safer access routes before rescuers enter dangerous areas. Real-time aerial visibility supports faster decisions and helps teams avoid blocked roads and active threats. By improving situational awareness, the project shortens response times, reduces exposure of medics and volunteers to danger, and enables safer evacuations during humanitarian missions today.

Long-Term Impact

Over time, the project strengthens local emergency response capacity in communities where rescue infrastructure has been damaged. Trained medical and volunteer teams will operate more safely, coordinate better, and reach injured people faster, reducing preventable deaths and long-term harm. The equipment and skills developed through this project will support humanitarian response, disaster recovery, and civilian protection, helping communities maintain life-saving services in future crises.
