The Futbol Matters project in the community El Coyolito (Gustavo Madero, Mexico City) is well underway! Our local partner, Jóvenes Constructores de la Comunidad (JCC), is beginning to engage the community members and two youth leaders have already been identified as local coordinators of the project. It's always exciting to empower local leaders, especially youth, and we look forward to seeing them develop as community leaders over the following months. JCC will provide valuable job training to the youth of El Coyolito, while also working with love.fútbol to engage the community around the project to make it a reality.
love.fútbol Brasil's Project Manager, Pedro Leal, recently traveled to Mexico this past April to begin training the local coordinators, as well as helping to oversee the first activities with the community surrounding the field.
