Our project is still going strong. Luckily, we have found more clients and victims of Hurricane Florence are moving back home and we are able to provide them with furniture and housewares. Since our last report in December, we have assisted about 10 families who finally completed repaired or found affordable housing for their families.
One particular family has been coming to see us since October 2018, just to check in on us. Never once did she ask for help. Her entire floor was gone from the flooding experienced during Hurricane Florence. She needed subfloor, flooring, cabinets, walls, and a house. She was able to get assistance with repairs from several other organizations and we were thrilled to provide her with a full house off furnishings!
