We have made great strides in eastern North Carolina following Hurricane Florence, but still have a long way road travel. This fall, we have seem more families complete their repairs and be able to move back home, more than a year after being displaced. One family will move back home Monday December 16 and will receive new bed frames, living room furniture, dressers, and gift cards. This family is sure to have a Merry Christmas this year!
While we have many happy stories coming out of Carteret County, we still have well over 300 families waiting for repairs to be completed so they can finally move back home. Every penny helps us to furnish these houses once repairs are complete.
