One year later - Hurricane Florence furniture replenishment
By Marian Tucker - Founder
September 12, 2019 marked the one year anniversary of the landfall of Hurricane Florence in North Carolina and we at CW4R are still going strong. It was an emotional day for us as we were able to move a family back into their newly repaired home on September 12. We supplied the family with a queen bed, a twin bed, dresser, kitchen table and chairs, sofa and loveseat, living room tables, linens, pots and pans, dishes and silverware. We finished the move with a gift of a prayer blanket and a blessing on the home.
In the past year, we have supplied over 650 families with furniture, linens, and housewares to help them recover from the complete devastation of Hurricane Florence. It has been a remarkable year of recovery, but we still have a long way to go.
