When Dreams become Degrees: our tertiary scholars thrive

A dream realised: Evelyn, a proud nurse
A dream realised: Evelyn, a proud nurse

Dear friends and supporters,

We are thrilled to share the latest milestones from our From Dreams to Degrees journey! Through Chance4all's Tertiary Education Fund, your belief in deserving young people from underprivileged backgrounds empowers them to unlock their potential, pursue higher education, and spark lasting change within their communities.

Evelyn: a proud new nurse

When Chance4all began in 2017, Evelyn was one of the very first children from Bauleni whom we welcomed back into the classroom. Her resilience carried her through immense hardship, including the COVID-19 pandemic when her mother lost her job. Consistent sponsorship kept her dreams alive, and after finishing secondary school in 2022, she entered nursing school.

Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone: in September 2026, Evelyn officially graduated as a qualified nurse! In her own words: "Chance4all started sponsoring me from primary school up to tertiary. Through their investment in my education and encouragement, I have become a nurse. Indeed, those who start a good job in you shall surely finish it." While preparing for her professional placement, Evelyn is already giving back by mentoring younger children at our learning centre.

Barbara: answering the call of midwifery

Barbara also joined us in 2017 after missing three critical years of schooling. Demonstrating extraordinary perseverance, she completed Grade 12 and spent her transition period tutoring younger peers at Chance4all. Today, she is thriving at midwifery school in Kabwe, dedicating herself to maternal and newborn health.

Emeldah and Peter: moving confidently forward

We are equally proud of Emeldah and Peter, who have both successfully completed their first semester of tertiary education. Fully geared up and inspired, they are now diving into their second semester with dedication. Our Lusaka team continues to mentor them closely as they excel in their studies.

Looking ahead: opening doors for the next cohort

Each graduate becomes a beacon of possibility. Younger learners at Chance4all, like Mirriam in Grade 10, now dare to dream of careers in healthcare, law, and leadership that once felt entirely out of reach.

Beyond tuition, Chance4all provides comprehensive support whenever needed, covering essential learning materials, laptops and IT equipment, safe lodging, and daily transport. To continue supporting our current students on their journey, and to open our doors to a new cohort of bright young scholars next year, we need your continued partnership. Every gift, large or small, transforms a lifelong dream into a degree.

Thank you for walking beside these inspiring scholars and believing in their future.
