Fund for sewage solutions in Argentina

We are happy to share new progress in our sanitation project.

During this stage, we completed new sewage solutions that provided safe sanitation access to 8 additional families living in vulnerable conditions. These improvements represent an important change in daily life, helping families live in healthier and safer environments.

Alongside the construction work, we continue working closely with the community to raise awareness about hygiene and the importance of having safe and adequate bathroom conditions. Through meetings and conversations with families, we promote healthy habits and strengthen community understanding of the relationship between sanitation, health, and quality of life.

As part of this process, our social and technical teams carried out a new community assessment and identified 5 more families living in critical conditions who urgently need sanitation solutions. Many homes still face serious risks linked to inadequate sewage systems, especially in neighborhoods where families rely on underground wells for water access.

These actions are possible thanks to your continued support. Every new sewage solution not only improves infrastructure, but also protects health, dignity, and the well-being of entire families and the broader community.

As mentioned in our previous report, we moved forward with a second stage of the initiative that included the construction of 20 new sewage solutions for families in the neighborhood. We are pleased to share that all works were completed before the end-of-year holidays, allowing families to celebrate this important time in better sanitary conditions, with greater comfort and dignity.

For many families, having access to proper sanitation represents a profound change in their daily lives. Being able to welcome relatives, share meals, and celebrate together without the risks associated with the lack of basic infrastructure has a direct impact on well-being and peace of mind at home. Although the summer season brings increased health risks, reaching this time of year with the sewage solutions already completed was a major relief and a concrete improvement for the entire community.

The neighborhood where the project is being implemented is located near a river, and many families obtain their drinking water from underground wells. The lack of safe sewage disposal systems puts this water at risk of contamination and threatens community health. Thanks to your support, 20 additional families now have access to essential sanitation infrastructure, reducing soil and water contamination and significantly improving their living conditions.

This achievement is the result of coordinated work between Madre Tierra’s technical team and our community development team, who accompany families and prioritize those in the most vulnerable situations.
