Children across Sri Lanka will be returning to school. There is a need for school shoes, uniforms and stationery. Many children walk long distances to school and a comfortable pair of shoes is a necessity. SATHKARA raises funds annually to support many vulnerable children across Sri Lanka.
The lack of school shoes is a multifaceted issue that adversely affects children's health, education, and social development. Addressing this problem requires community support, awareness, and initiatives to provide necessary resources to ensure every child has access to proper footwear for school. By working together, we can help improve the educational experience and overall well-being of children in our communities.
The primary goal of this project is to ensure that all children have access to proper school shoes, thereby addressing the issues related to discomfort, attendance, social stigmatization, and academic performance.
