Bridge to Ukraine, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to bridge the relationship between the U.S. and Ukraine, has made the tough decision to temporarily suspend our main project, the Youth Bank. This was in response to social distancing rules put in place to fight the spread of COVID-19. We will hold on to the funds raised for Youth Bank projects until it is deemed safe to restart the project. We still hope to reach our goal of $5000 so we can fully fund 25 youth-led community projects!
In better news, we are happy to announce we are partnering with Charitable Foundation “Patients of Ukraine” to raise funds for the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE), ventilators, portable x-ray machines, and Coronavirus tests in Ukraine. To make a contribution, please contribute at our GlobalGiving page found at the following link: https://www.globalgiving.org/microprojects/ukraine-covid-19/
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to buy batches of PPE for doctors and coronavirus tests for patients. Extra funds will go toward expensive x-ray machines and ventilators. “Patients of Ukraine” will ensure that the equipment will get to the hospitals where it is most in demand.
We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone both mentally and financially, but even a small donation will help save the lives of Ukrainians. We thank you for your donation and we look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
