$1 – buys 3 mongo tree seedlings - $2 buys 6 mongo tree seedlings.
Our fruit tree planting programme is on progress since it was started in 2009 and with the small resources that we have had, together with donations from GlobalGiving donors, Hope Ofiriha staff and the ONURA local communities have achieved amazing results.
The fruit planting programme has been very successful since the first year, and a total of over 50 fruit seedlings have now been raised in 1 tree nursery. It is also estimated that about 400 local volunteers have worked on this project and will be working in future as well, although we now reduced the number of 1 tree nursery to 10 people since 2009 due to lack of funding. The 10 volunteers are concentrating on improved management of the nursery planted fruit trees.
Once the funds are secured the 390 local volunteers will be recalled to participate since this is a large project. This project has the support of the entire community of Omilling people because they see the benefits in the practical sense.
