Keep Fresh Fruit & Vegetables Affordable

By Kemi | CEO

Thank you for being part of the Foodg Bus community. Your generosity helps us bring affordable, fresh produce directly into neighbourhoods where access to healthy food can be limited. Every week, local families, older residents, and people on low incomes rely on the Food Bus to help stretch household budgets and put nutritious food on the table.

Today, we're asking for your continued support.

A recent report from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health has warned that the UK is on track to raise one of the unhealthiest generations of children in decades. The report found that more than one in three children aged 10-11 is overweight or obese, and that children living in the most deprived communities experience significantly worse health outcomes than their peers. Paediatricians have described widening health inequalities as a national concern and are calling for urgent action to improve children's health.

Behind these statistics are real families in South London. Parents tell us they want to feed their children healthy meals, but rising living costs mean fresh fruit and vegetables are often more expensive and less accessible than processed alternatives. When budgets are tight, nutritious food can feel out of reach.

That is why the Food Bus matters.

By bringing affordable produce directly into communities, we help families access the building blocks of good health. Fresh fruit and vegetables support children's growth, development, concentration at school, and long-term wellbeing. They also help adults manage their health and reduce the risk of diet-related illnesses.

At Be Enriched, we believe everyone should have access to healthy food, regardless of their income or postcode. The Food Bus is about more than food. It is about dignity, choice, prevention, and giving families the opportunity to live healthier lives.

Will you help us keep the wheels turning?

Your donation will help us purchase fresh produce, keep prices affordable, and reach more families who need support. Together, we can ensure that children grow up with access to the healthy food they deserve.
