Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project promoting fruit and timber trees in order to improve biodiversity and help mitigate climate change. Tree growing is one of the ways we can help mitigate climate change but there is always the issue of farmers wanting to include the growing of food crops so that they get immediate benefits from the farming enterprise that they implement. Food is always in short supply and farmers are eager to raise vegetables so that while the trees are growing they get something from the land in the short term. Vegetables are great because of the income as well as nutrition support that it provides. Some of the vegetables can be harvested in a short time giving immediate benefits to farmers. Hoping for your continuing support as we promote this strategy.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian Sayre
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our initiative promoting fruit and timber tree growing in order to improve biodiversity. Climate change is real and one of the ways to mitigate this is the growing of trees. Our approach is agro-reforestation or the mixing of food crops with trees and farm animals in order to increase the economic situation of the farmer. We are particularly keen on engaging the youth who do not love agriculture anymore and yearn to go to the cities to find their fortune. This reporting period we provide advocacy and promotion to adult leaders so that they may too learn how we implement our projects. They are very interested and we hope that they will start similar activities in their own areas. We are able to engage a total of 25 adults and we hope to increase the number in the next months. Again thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian Sayre
Dear Friend,
Good day to you and thank you very much for supporting our initiative producing fruit and timber tree seedlings for biodiversity conservation. We want to contribute to mitigating climate change and this is one of the strategies that we are employing. As we start this project, we aim to establish a collection and distribution area for most important fruit and timber trees in the country. We want to start a small demonstration farm and thanks to a major supporter from abroad who willingly provided us with starter funds. We want to raise most valuable native tree species and then aim to produce seeds from them when they mature for distribution to our farmers. This aspect in biodiversity conservation is very much lacking and we want to provide the initial impetus. Hoping that you will continue supporting this initiative. We will send regular updates as we improve the demo farm/area.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian Sayre
