Food growing
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project improving the land resources in our target villages. Land is most often the only resource that a farmer is dependent upon for food support. There is a need to improve the fertility of the land at the same time improving the biodiversity of the village. The problem of land degradation and poverty is difficult to address and we are trying our very best. This reporting period we assisted 50 young farmers improve their land by the provision of farming inputs such as seeds as well as technical assistance in farming. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,

Tree care and management
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your donation to our project improving biodiversity in the upland areas by growing fruit and timber trees. We are happy to report that we are expanding this project to 2 more villages from an original of 5 villages because of your support and that of others. Fruit and timber tree growing is an important component to food security and climate change mitigation and without it, we really have problems with poverty, poor soil conditions, loss of flora and fauna and our earth over heating. Flash floods is ocurring with more frequency this time and this is problematic for poor farmers dependent on the land for their sustenance. This reporting period we have distributed 200 fruit tree seedlings to our beneficiaries. Thank you very much for your assistance.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian Sayre

Preparing land for agroforestry
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your donation to our project promoting the growing of fruit and timber trees for biodiversity improvement. We always add that one of the objectives in the growing of fruit and timber trees is to increase the income and food security of the farmers aside from improving biodiversity. Farmers are keen to implement agricultural innovation when they are able to get food and income from the project. In this reporting period we prepare land area for an agroforestry demonstration in a village with the anticipation that rain will soon come and the plants will survive with low mortality rate. We are preparing 2 hectares of land in this manner. We are doing this, establishing small demonstration farms in each village we cover in order for farmers to see results as well as for farmers to get planting materials later on. Hoping for your continuing support to our project. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian Sayre
