Project Summary
The project is being implemented in the Central River Region (CRR) and Upper River Region (URR) of The Gambia to address educational exclusion among marginalized and vulnerable children. The project aims to improve access to basic education by supporting the enrollment and retention of children who are out of school or at risk of dropping out.
During the reporting quarter, 5 children were supported, comprising 3 girls and 2 boys. The support focused on helping these children access education and remain engaged in school. Parents and caregivers were also engaged to encourage regular school attendance and strengthen family support for children's education.
Challenges
The main challenge encountered during the quarter was financial constraints, which limited the project's ability to support more children and meet some of the education-related needs of vulnerable families. Despite this challenge, the project was able to provide support to five children and make progress toward its objective.
