We launched a new cycle of our mobile program, “Soul Sisters,” which provides support to women diagnosed with breast cancer across Bulgaria. In 2026, we plan to visit seven cities in the country in order to extend our support to women in need.
The first two months of the year were dedicated to updating the information and materials we share with the women, so that our support remains relevant to their needs.
In March and April, we visited Karlovo and Kyustendil, where we met with 20 women living with breast cancer. During these meetings, we discussed various aspects of life with the diagnosis and presented informational videos with leading oncology specialists. The participants also had the opportunity to ask questions to the survivors and psychologists of One in 8, and received our care kits for women undergoing mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or experiencing lymphedema as a result of treatment.
The next stop of “Soul Sisters” and the One in 8 team is Yambol.
