Project Overview
The Green Fund Initiative (GFI) remains committed to fostering environmental stewardship by supporting grassroots actions around the world. Through partnerships with community-based organizations, GFI continues its mission to promote sustainability and empower the next generation to take active roles in environmental conservation.
Key Project: Free Seedlings for Schoolchildren in Bangladesh
Objective:
This project aims to promote environmental awareness among schoolchildren in rural Bangladesh by distributing free seedlings. By encouraging children to plant and nurture trees, the initiative seeks to cultivate a lifelong respect for nature and support local biodiversity conservation efforts.
Progress During the Reporting Period
Fund Status:
Unfortunately, GFI did not receive any new funding during this reporting period to support the expansion of the "Free Seedlings for Schoolchildren" project. Due to the lack of financial resources, no additional seedling distribution activities could be implemented between September 2024 and April 2025.
Activities:
While direct project activities such as seedling distribution were not possible, both GFI and its local partner BCSSC remained actively engaged in preparatory and community engagement efforts:

Conclusion
Although financial limitations impacted direct activities, the "Free Seedlings for Schoolchildren" project continues to embody GFI’s long-term vision of global environmental stewardship. The strong foundation laid through previous phases, along with continued community engagement, positions the project for successful reactivation once new funding is available. GFI and BCSSC remain dedicated to expanding the project’s impact and reaching more young environmental stewards across rural Bangladesh.
