As a result of the economic crisis the number of children living below the poverty line has increased dramatically in Spain. Free School meals is a program that enables 554 children at social risk in Spain to have at least one meal at school with the necessary nutrients, improving their health and helping them to follow a normal life.
Our beneficiaries are 554 Spanish children (boys and girls from 3 to 12 years old) at social risk from families who are suffering crisis situations including evictions and lack of economic resources, including basic needs such as food and clothing.
We give a daily meal to 554 boys and girls in their own schools. We pay these meals directly to the school.
We will improve their health and school achievement and enable them to follow a normal life
