Our school Joy Foundation Chak No. 325 Dullam Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan is going well with the kind support of our partners here on GlobalGiving. On behalf of Joy Foundation and school team I would like to say thanks to everyone and request to continue their support for this great project. Chak No. 325 G.B Dullam is a rural area, 6 km from the city of Toba Tek Singh. This area has a total population of 4003 individuals. The village has no government hospital and private clinic. These days the weather is really hot. It's 50 degrees in our area and many children have different kinds of sickness because of that we are thinking of organizing a free medical camp for them if we have some funds. There is no proper electricity water system in the area. There is only one Government school which is not in the reach of the village people as it’s in other villages. Because of that many children did not give education to their children they prefer to take them to work. Most of the people from the village work as laborers on brick machines which is really hard work.
Now the school is growing and many children get education from this school with the kind support of our partners and hard work from our team. At this time we have 6 grades including, Nursery, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The teachers are doing their best and teaching the students. The children are also very happy when they come to school. Big achievement is that the school is now registering with the Government of Punjab.
Every year after the annual Exams Joy Foundation gives free books/copies/uniform and other school needs to the children which will be great support to the children and family. In the meantime as the number of students is growing Joy Foundation needs to build new rooms to have more space.
