JAAGO Students Thriving to Next Year
The JAAGO Foundation came a long way in the past decade and are confident enough to push boundaries and set new model. In 11 years, JAAGO tries to keep the dream of 3000 Children’s alive by assisting their dreams to identify their strengths. The students who became school graduate this year had set an example and become inspiration among all the JAAGO school students and they believe they can do it. They are learning to overcome challenges so they can address their own needs. Children are empowered to participate in activities and decisions that shape their poverty lives; activism is an important component of the overall mission.
Igniting Hopes with Classroom Market
Here at JAAGO, we inspire students in such a way that we could grab the attention and interest to the highest level. Classroom Market is a concept which we practice in our Schools with a regular interval and students are eager to participate on that. The concept is more likely buying objects as we buy objects from shops in real life. But the difference is that students are buying objects by their points gained by doing their classroom activities and showing excellent academic performances. It mainly keeps the students focused in the classroom activities and makes them motivated to learn more. In the end it is full of excitement and fun. Students loved the new experience by this activity and they are willing to engage in class activities and studies. We arranged the systems in all the 12 branches of JAAGO Foundation.
Morality Development Begins with Self Dignity
Self-dignity is something which determines the morality of any person from school life. We understand the necessity of having a practice of moral development in school, thus we celebrate Global Dignity Day every year. We invite one of the organizations named “Friendship” who celebrates Global Dignity Day every year in Bangladesh. To celebrate this day, students shoot some videos where different students share their different stories. Like every year, “Friendship” also shoots video of JAAGO Foundation students. Friendship came to our School and shoots those videos. They shared these videos on their Facebook page and tagged us. They also asked us to share those videos on our Facebook page. These exposures works as a platform to express themselves and help them learn how to represent themselves.
Report Cards Distributing Day
Report cards are the most anticipated for all the students and teachers of any school. This is something on which JAAGO school goes into a festive environment. The students invited their parents to their schools and received them with warm greetings. This is a day when parents get the opportunity to see the impact of study in statistics and consult with teachers.
Report cards day used to held after every examination. The branch authority informed every parent about the 2nd quarter and half yearly report card day. They came to the school premises. We distributed the report cards to every respective parents and told them about the current academic conditions of their children.
Spelling Bee Competition
A healthy competition is something which is aspired by JAAGO students where they can prove themselves. Despite having the obstacles in the their daily life, they fierce through their boundaries and nourish their dreams to win the sky. Hence, spelling bee competition is something which is very much anticipated held in last quarter.
Spelling bee competition took place in all the 12 branches of jaago foundation. The students of class 1 participated in the competition in both bangla and English. The students were given prize who achieved the top positions. They were very delighted to take part in the competition.
How JAAGO Changing Lives
Statement of Siam
Grade 10
JAAGO Foundation School
I am Siam Hossain Shimul, Student of Grade 10 of JAAGO Foundation School. I am 16 years old. In these 16 years of my life, I have spent 10 years with JAAGO. I feel so proud to say that I am the first student of JAAGO and since the very first day it has been a wonderland for me that taught to dream. I know that compared to my classmates, my life does not have many struggles or sorrows. But I have learned to be grateful for the life that the Almighty has blessed me with. JAAGO taught me that I have two hands, one for helping myself and the other for helping others.
When I grow up I would like to preach and practice what I have learned here. JAAGO is very precious to me and my family.
