When the country calls for help, "Haverim L'Refuah" responds!
In the first 24 hours since the war broke out, as the largest volunteer organization in Israel providing free medicines and medical equipment, we established the largest free medical emergency center in the country. Since then, we have been working non-stop to save lives.
The harsh reality - a double war, a double need!
We have been fighting the "Iron Swords" war for a year and a half - and now the "Am Kalavi" war against Iran has broken out. A war within a war.
To date, we have assisted reserve soldiers fighting in Gaza and the north, families whose homes have been damaged, sick and elderly residents who are afraid to leave their homes to purchase medicines, and patients who are stuck far from home.
And now – in the middle of the war against Iran, we are receiving new and urgent requests from residents whose homes were hit by Iranian attacks and who need immediate medication, as well as from elderly people all over the country who are afraid to go out to buy medication because they have difficulty reaching a shelter during missile strikes and are exposed to life-threatening conditions, and from patients who were stuck in another city during attacks without their medication.
Thousands of people are now, at this moment, depending on our help.
Up to now, we've managed to deliver:
Over a million shekels worth of emergency medical equipment at lightning speed to those in need
10 tons of medical equipment - over a million essential items for the multiple war fronts
Emergency medical equipment to thousands of soldiers in Gaza and the north
Essential medications to families all over the country
Immediate emergency medical equipment to victims of Iranian attacks
The hard truth: With two active war fronts, we need to raise millions of shekels worth of equipment and medication.
