During the past three months (August 2016 to October 2016) Agewell volunteers have surveyed more than 55 slums across Delhi/NCR and distributed 281 Wheelchairs to destitute elderly unable to move around, 725 Walkers to destitute elderly unable to walk on his/her own, 8500+ Adult Diapers to bedridden and ailing destitute elderly, 380 Walking Sticks to needy old people and 480 Food Ration packets (containing Rice, Dals, Masale, Oil, Tea, Sugar, Salt, biscuits, etc @ Rs. 1250 each) among destitute and needy elderly.
In addition, through our Helplines spread across the country to assist old people we have managed to extend a helping hand to over 11 lac old people. Through our Employment Exchange for Old People we have managed to assist over 290 old people. We have completed a nation-wide study among 15000 old people on "Financial Status of Older People in India: An Assessment".
Agewell Foundation is committed to provide for older people particularly destitute and needy. Currently, Agewell Foundation's old age healthcare project is being supported by local contributors, corporate sector and volunteers.
Agewell Foundation needs more financial support from corporate sector and individuals so that it can provide timely help to needy and destitute elderly.
