Dear Friends,
Autumn brings an abundance of fresh produce, but not everything grown in our fields and gardens makes it to someone's table. That's where our community comes in!
Our team and volunteers are back in the fields, collecting surplus pumpkins, apples, and other seasonal produce that would otherwise go to waste. Instead of rotting in a field, these surplus vegetables and fruits are given to those who need it the most.
As the weather gets colder, the need for a warm meal grows, too. Our free food shops help people choose the food they need for themselves and their families and with the help of our kitchens we can turn the surplus produce into a jar of soup ready to be heated and enjoyed on a cold fall evening.
Thanks to our volunteers, donors, and supporters, we can turn the abundance of autumn into something meaningful: nutritious food, warm meals, and a little more comfort for people across Lithuania.
And there's still more we can do. With your support, we can rescue more seasonal produce, prepare more meals, and help ensure that good food reaches the people who need it most.
Thank you for helping us make the most of every harvest and for being part of a community that cares.
With gratitude,
The "Maisto Bankas" Team
