The Cycle of Educating and Equipping Nurses for Efficient Healthcare Service

By Dean Sinco | Project Leader

Healthcare education in the country has gone more and more expensive and continues to appear as a hindrance for young people and makes them to leave aside the eagerness to enter the healthcare practice and to enroll in the field of nursing.

More than the intelligent and critical thinker, a nurse needs to possess that sense of service and commitment to better other people's lives through efficient healthcare teaching and practice.

The willingness to serve at par with the right skills and training from a very nurturing and enabling school like Foundation University College of Nursing, empowers the student who will later become a future licensed nurse to overcome the challenges and efficiently deliver service the patients. Round the year, the college makes it a point to educate and equip the student nurses and prepare them for work.

For the recent passers of the Nurse Licensure Examination from FU College of Nursing, the journey to full employment and service to the people in the community, hospitals and for a few, in the academe, is about the begin.

The four years spent in the College of Nursing, the theories learned and the skills acquired, will not be put into flesh and rightful practice, all for the common good of the society.

Meanwhile, another journey begins for the student nurses after the ceremonial candle-lighting rites to signify the start of their immersion in hospitals and in the community. Thus, the rite signals the new chapter opened for student nurses.

And the cycle continues every single year. Products of FU College of Nursing are sent off to the community to be of service to the people. With every student nurse and nursing alumnus being sent off comes the opportunity to contribute to the welfare our country in the aspect of healthcare services.
