RAIN OR SHINE: A TRIUMPH FOR OUR NURSING SCHOLARS

Foundation University culminated the Acemic year 2024 - 2025 in May.  It was a day marked by uncertain skies and a steady drizzle, the campus  came alive with joy, gratitude, and pride. Our nursing scholars—young men and women who have spent years studying, training, and serving—finally walked across the stage to receive their hard-earned diplomas. And they did it rain or shine.

This year’s graduation ceremony was not only a celebration of academic achievement but also a powerful testament to resilience. As clouds gathered above, not one student was bothered.  Many of our graduates are first-generation college students, the children of farmers, market vendors, and healthcare frontliners. These scholars made their mark by financial aid, clinical training, and the personal encouragement needed to reach this milestone.

One nursing scholar was asked smiling under her umbrella saud. “We’ve worked through harder nights in the hospital wards. Today, we stand proud—not just for ourselves, but for the communities we’re ready to serve.”

As the ceremony closed, the graduates still sang the University Hymn inspite and despite—a moving commitment to serve humanity with compassion and integrity. The crowd, soaked but inspired, rose in a standing ovation.

This was a first for the entire university,  a commencement exercise under the rain. It was a promise fulfilled, and a future ignited.  The ceremony was bigger than the storm.  It was a blessing for our future healers.
