1. Project Overview

The project seeks to provide foundational education in English, Mathematics, and Science to 1,000 socially and economically marginalized girls across 10 learning centres in Telangana.

NEIEA implements a blended learning model, where live mentor teachers deliver interactive lessons through IT-enabled classrooms supported by on-site coordinators. This approach ensures that girls most at risk of dropping out gain access to high-quality, affordable education.

During this reporting period, we successfully established one IT-enabled classroom at a cost of just $1,500. The centre is now fully operational and delivering impactful learning experiences to marginalized girls in Telangana, demonstrating the scalability and cost-effectiveness of our model.

2. Achievements & Metrics

  • 1 IT-enabled classroom set up with LED screen, laptop, webcam, microphone, and power backup.

  • 40 girls onboarded and enrolled (student data attached in the accompanying Excel sheet). Click here to view

  • 120 girls reached in total across our initial efforts, with many more awaiting classes.

  • 350+ live online sessions delivered in English, Math, and Science.

  • Average attendance rate: 85%.

  • Monthly assessments conducted, showing early improvements in literacy and numeracy.

  • 1 coordinator and 3 mentor teachers trained and supporting this centre.

3. Testimonials

“I had never seen such a classroom before. Learning on the big screen with my teacher guiding us feels exciting. Now I can solve math sums I could never do before.” — Zoya, Age 12

“My daughter has never missed a class since this centre started. She feels confident and wants to continue her education. I thank the people who made this possible.” — Parent of student, Telangana

4. Challenges & Responses

  • Digital Access Gaps: Some families lacked smartphones or steady electricity. NEIEA addressed this by keeping IT classrooms open for extended hours and ensuring power backup.

  • Community Resistance: Some parents were initially hesitant about girls’ education. Continuous meetings and involvement of local leaders helped build trust and increase enrollment.

5. Next Steps (Sept 2025 – March 2026)

  • Launch two additional centres in Warangal and Nizamabad.

  • Enroll 250+ more girls across upcoming centres.

  • Expand assessments to track learning outcomes systematically.

  • Prepare students for State Board and NIOS exams.

  • Strengthen parent engagement programs to reduce dropout risk.

We already have more centres prepared and additional students ready to join us. Once funds are available, we will immediately begin classes at these new locations.
