Dear friends and supporters,
Our volunteers used the good spring weather to accelerate their activities. As a result, nearly 35 community projects were completed by the end of June, all led by youth!
We were also very happy with the increased recognition of Kosovo’s institutions for the work Service Learning Club Leaders they are doing in the community. A special highlight was the visit of the President of Kosovo, Dr. Vjosa Osmani, during the training of the 4th Generation of Club Leaders.
But perhaps even more important than the volunteering aspect is the learning aspect. This year, several Club Leaders have obtained scholarships and important positions in the youth field – in Kosovo and abroad. We are highlighting the story of Marigona this time, a young social worker who after leading her Club in the provincial town of Vushtrri – is now serving in a youth social centre in Leuven, Belgium as part of the European Solidarity Corps.
Even though most of you are far from Kosovo, I hope this short report brings you closer to the community that you help thrive!
