After the success of the community calendar in 2013, everyone in Yarralin thought it was time to do another one! ELP was asked to help again so we returned with our photographer Rhett Hammerton and started getting to work. The kids quickly took over and a theme for the 2016 calendar quickly emerged - kids taking photos of kids!
There are so many good photos it’ll be hard to choose the final 13 for the 2016 calendar. We look forward to sharing updates with you as we work towards getting it published and ready for sale. The profits will go back to supporting enterprise in Yarralin. The community is showing themselves to be very enterprising - what will they think of next??
Ngarinyman Bush Soap have also been busy with soap production. Laura sat down with Caitlin from Ngarinyman Bush Soap while she was out in Yarralin to do some business planning. The next step is to do some updated promotional material for the business, and redesign the labels so that each type of bush medicine soap has a different coloured label. We decided to make the most of having a professional photographer with us and went down to Steep Creek for some glamour shots. Stay tuned for the new Ngarinyman Bush Soap promotional material!!!
And finally, while we had Rhett out in the community with us, we were able to offer school photos for all the kids at the school!
