1. Implementation During the Year
Throughout the year, different workshops have been developed as part of the Renew 2.0 methodology.
The workshops have addressed areas such as:
The methodology has encouraged participants not only to receive information, but to actively engage in a process of thinking, reflecting, and identifying possible actions in their own lives.
Currently, two workshops are conducted each month, allowing the process to maintain continuity while adapting the content to the needs, dynamics, and circumstances of the participants.
2. Progress and Observed Impact
Although the project has faced challenges inherent to working with young people within the Juvenile Criminal Responsibility System, the process has generated encouraging signs of transformation.
One of the most significant outcomes observed throughout the workshops has been a shift in the participants' mindset and willingness to reflect on their own experiences.
Through the different activities and conversations, some young people have begun to question previously held beliefs, recognize patterns in their behavior, and consider alternative ways of responding to situations and making decisions.
The P.R.A. approach has created opportunities for participants to move from simply reacting to their circumstances toward thinking about their choices and their possible consequences.
This transition — from reaction to reflection and from reflection to conscious action — represents an important step toward the project's broader objective of strengthening emotional well-being and personal agency.
3. Challenges in the Process
Working with youth within the Juvenile Criminal Responsibility System presents particular challenges related to continuity, participation, and the changing composition of the groups.
One of the main challenges encountered during implementation has been the mobility of participants as they complete their sanctions.
In some cases, young people complete their processes and consequently stop attending the ACJ program. While this is a positive development in terms of their progression through the system, it also affects the continuity of their participation in Renew 2.0.
As a result, it has sometimes been difficult to complete the collection of personal stories, testimonies, and creative materials intended to become part of the project's final printed book.
This situation has required the team to remain flexible and continuously adapt the methodology and documentation process to the participants' availability and circumstances.
Rather than viewing these challenges solely as limitations, they have become an important part of the learning process and have reinforced the need for flexible strategies when implementing long-term initiatives with this population.
4. Creative and Cultural Production
One of the distinctive components of Renew 2.0 is the intention to transform personal reflection into creative and cultural production.
The project seeks to culminate in a printed book featuring personal stories developed by participating youth.
The book represents more than a final product. It is intended to become a tangible expression of the participants' voices, experiences, reflections, and aspirations.
However, due to participant turnover and the completion of sanctions, the collection and consolidation of stories has progressed at a different pace than initially anticipated.
The team continues to work toward gathering sufficient stories and creative contributions while respecting each participant's process, privacy, willingness to participate, and time within the program.
The final publication will therefore reflect not only the creative outcome of the project, but also the realities and learning experiences encountered throughout its implementation.
5. Partnership and Collaborative Work
Renew 2.0 has been strengthened through collaboration between Fundación Líderes Monarca, ACJ, and partner organizations.
This collaborative approach recognizes that sustainable social transformation requires different actors to contribute their knowledge, experience, resources, and commitment.
The Foundation's role has focused on bringing methodologies and spaces for emotional development, leadership, reflection, and creative expression, while working closely with ACJ to respond to the specific context and needs of the young people.
The continued partnership has been essential to maintaining the project despite the challenges associated with participant turnover and the complexity of the population served.
6. Current Status
The project is currently active, with two workshops being conducted each month.

At the same time, efforts continue to document the participants' reflections and stories in order to advance toward the project's planned cultural production component.
7. Key Learning
One of the most important lessons from the implementation of Renew 2.0 has been that transformation does not always happen in predictable or linear ways.
In a context where participants may enter and leave the program at different times, success cannot be measured only through the completion of planned outputs.
Sometimes transformation becomes visible in a conversation, a question, a change in attitude, a new perspective, or the decision to consider a different response to a difficult situation.
These moments may seem small, but they can represent meaningful steps toward a different future.
The project continues to demonstrate that creating spaces where young people can think, reflect, and imagine new possibilities can contribute to meaningful personal and social change.
8. Looking Ahead
During the remaining implementation period, Renew 2.0 will continue with its regular workshop schedule and will strengthen the documentation and creative production process.

9. Conclusion
Renew 2.0 continues to move forward despite the challenges inherent in its implementation.
Throughout the year, the project has created consistent spaces for young people to pause, reflect, question their beliefs, express themselves, and consider different possibilities for their lives.
The changes observed in participants' perspectives reinforce the value of the process and demonstrate that emotional well-being and creative expression can become powerful tools for transformation.
Although participant mobility has created challenges in collecting and consolidating personal stories for the final publication, the team remains committed to the project's purpose and continues working to document the experiences that emerge throughout the process.

Renew 2.0 is not only about producing a book.
It is about creating the conditions for young people to understand that their past does not have to determine their future, that they have the ability to make new choices, and that their voices and stories have value.
