Communication Session
Communication Session

Thank you to our generous donor and all the support that the GlobalGiving community has offered.  We hope to raise enough to conduct additional entertaining activities, such as field trips and athletic programs, to further encourage inclusivity and shared effort. In the meantime, IJMA3 and the Center for Excellence have already started trainings and activities in Bourj al Barajneh and Nahr el Bared to facilitate regular interaction between Palestinian and Lebanese trainees.

In February, the PWHO held a session on Leadership (1 to 1 ratio of Palestinian and Lebanese students attended) and an alternative session on Communication (12 Palestinian and 22 Lebanese participants). They had the opportunity to work in groups and enjoyed team building activities. The curriculum included one-to-one communication and communication patterns between family members, couples, friends and colleagues.  Provision for differences in cultural behaviors also existed.

CFE management is also promoting the participation of beneficiaries in open activities related to employment and working skills development. The PWHO organized additional extra-curricular activities on children rights, where Palestinians and Lebanese beneficiaries discussed and analyzed topics of common interest and exchanged opinions on the matter. CFE also hosts Business Development classes, where the Palestinian and Lebanese trainees work in teams to develop project ideas, discuss market issues and create a business plan.  Other planned activities involved learning English, photography lessons, viewing documentaries, cooking competition, and awareness-building sessions.
