Dear friend,
We hope this letter finds you well. It is with immense gratitude that we write this report to express our deep appreciation for the generous support we received during the "Little by Little" campaign for the preservation of the Atlantic Rainforest. Thanks to your valuable contribution, we have achieved significant results in protecting this rich and diverse region.
It's been a difficult time for the Atlantic Rainforest and the communities that depend on it. As you may have heard, the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies recently approved a Provisional Measure that threatens the forest and the rights of indigenous and traditional communities. It's disheartening to see these terrible things happening in politics.
That's why the work we're doing with the Forests for Water is so important. We've been fully operational and actively pursuing our objectives, carrying out various activities in different areas of the Graminha da Montanha community over the last couple of months.
Our team has been working hard to provide guidance and follow-up in the planting zones, helping with selective clearing and weed removal to conserve the newly planted trees. We've also been closely monitoring the areas undergoing forest restoration, and recently held a team meeting to plan and discuss the next steps.
All of these efforts are vital to ensure the preservation of the forest restoration areas and the continuation of the environmental recovery process. Through our guidance and follow-up activities, rural landowners gain access to practical and technical knowledge that contributes to the maintenance and care of green spaces.
Despite the challenges we face, we remain committed to our work and believe that change is possible. Thank you for your continued support.
Best regards,
The Iracambi team
