It was all joy when 27 women have been able to sell rabbits for the first time after they attained maturity. Rabbits are easy to rear by the poor families because they mainly feed on vegetation. Families are trained on how to use scientific methods to rear rabbits in order to increase the number of rabbits for consumption and sell to generate income to support the families. Rabbit breeding offers a promising solution for poor families seeking improved protein intake and income generation, particularly in developing countries. Rabbits are efficient protein producers, requiring minimal feed and resources, making them a sustainable and scalable option. Additionally, rabbit farming can be integrated with other agricultural practices, further enhancing its viability and impact. It has been more than ten years since Kigezi Healthcare foundation adopted rabbit breeding to help families get out of poverty. The impact has been incredible because a number of poor families can now take care of children by providing Healthcare and supporting them with Education. We thank our friends by donating this platform and we pray that the message keeps on spreading.
