Kigezi Healthcare Foundation (KIHEFO) is implementing this project to raise 3000 families from poverty through rabbit rearing. We have done trainings on rabbit rearing, technical support on rabbit cage construction and distributed rabbits in this reporting period (April-June 2021). Accoding to the previous plan, we had targeted to reach out to 25 households of whom 13 households received rabbits and 12 households are still learning and making preparations to receive rabbits.15 more households were identified and await to be trained on rabbit rearing. Among the identified households included the unemployed youths from poor families and the elderly poor with the capacity to get feeds for rabbits.
The target for the next three months (July-September 2021) will be distributing rabbits to the 12 households and training 15 households on rabbit rearing.
