The project is aimed at one of our core missions, to retrain draft horses that we rescue. In order to do this, we need to provide better footing than we currently have in our training area. Our training area helps every draft horse that enters our facility.
For the draft horses that enter our rescue, it is important for us to be able to evaluate temperament and skill level. Our current area is a hard surface filled with rocks. We need to have an area with the proper footing so that our rescues are not injured during training.
A usable training area will allow us to fulfill our core mission of being able to retrain more draft horses that enter our facility.
The project will allow us to retrain more draft horses so that they are ultimately able to find their forever home.
