Although due to lack of space and resources, we no longer take in puppies and kittens found by others, there are the ones that cross our path for which we cannot say no and also the ones that are in such a terrible condition that we cannot leave them where they are.
In the last 3 weeks, we had to take 6 dogs and 10 cats. 1 of the dogs was with our vet for a few months because of a Sticker tumour, her treatment is done and she was spayed, but after spending so much time under treatment, we couldn't leave her back on the streets. 2 other dogs were taken from the street for spaying by our volunteers, from areas where they weren't treated well, and they were also kept by them, in foster for now. 2 kittens were found by members of our non profit.
2 weeks ago, hell broke loose, with an old lady that was found unconscious after 2 days, that was taking care of 3 dogs and 8 cats. The house was in a terrible condition, with pee and poop everywhere, and a horrible smell. The lady never recovered, so the animals are now with us. The dogs were full of parasites and lacked fur, one was even blind. The cats don't know how to use the litter box, they are very skinny and full of parasites, one of them is also partially blind and one has some trouble walking.
The last cat was hit by a car, and she reached us right before we were contacted about the old lady.
So in just 2 weeks, the number of animals that we need to feed increased considerably.
This is why we need your help and your donations!
