At any given moment, we have around 60-70 cats and dogs, one pony and one goat in our care, while also feeding and providing medical care for street dogs and cats in our area. This project will allow us to give the animals in our care the food and medical services they need while we also organise spaying campaigns and work with the authorities and the schools to educate people about the importance of spaying and the effects of abandoning animals.
All the animals in our care were taken from the streets either because they were in danger ( puppies next to a busy road ) or because they were injured/sick and needed medical attention. Through our spaying campaign, our work with the children, schools and authorities, we are working on prevention, but while we do that we still need to feed and provide the medical care for the ~70 animals in our care ( numbers vary due to adoptions/new cases/deaths ).
We need to provide food, vaccines, deworming and medical care for the ones that are already in our care but also to the ones we feed from the streets.
The animals in our care will be feed every month, with high quality food, avoiding diseases caused by low quality food, that way decreasing future veterinary costs. This way, maybe someday, they will all have a home of their one.
