Help Feed Hungry Children in South Africa

Dear Friends and Family of South Africa,

We are so lucky to have you on our side as without you we simply could not provide these meals to our children in need. Although it is such a special project we really are stuck in a catch 22 as each week/month we scrape around for enough cash to buy food. It certainly got tough and a few days we had to make sandwiches only as we didn't have enough cash to buy anything more substantial. 

We are so committed and our 4 local cooks are all volunteers and are cooking for the love of their community so this project is all about food costs and gas to cook - it is that simple! However as we battle to buy the food we are looking to the future and the long term sustainable plan and this is what really needs huge investment and a kick start. 

We want to have 5 large veggies gardens across 5 communties and then we want 5 chicken farms that are producing eggs and meat and with all these produce being sustainability available we are confident this project will continue without your funding. We already have 1 aquaponics and 1 veggie garden at a school so we have made a start but have a long way to go, this is because we need to balance the shopping to ensure all children are fed as well as fundraising for the bigger picture so our challenge is more fundraising for the next quarter but to also continue providing daily meals to children living in poverty. 

The amazing news is that we managed to cook 17,100 meals over the past 3 months and made sure 280 children were fed daily and didn't go hungry. You made this possible so thank you!
