Activities During This Period
Key activities during Months 13–15 included:
Observed Outcomes
Several participating households continued harvesting vegetables such as leafy greens and herbs for daily consumption. Elderly participants reported that home gardening remained beneficial in helping reduce small household food expenses while also providing routine, light physical activity, and social engagement.
The project also observed that simple, elderly-friendly gardening methods remain more sustainable under limited-resource conditions than larger-scale approaches.
Challenges
Fundraising progress on the GlobalGiving platform continues to be slower than anticipated, limiting the project’s ability to scale activities or introduce additional support systems for more households.
Next Steps
PDA will continue to:
Appreciation
We sincerely thank all donors and supporters for their continued encouragement. Every contribution helps sustain ongoing community engagement and supports efforts to improve food security and dignity for rural elderly people in Thailand.
