Rising Food Costs Leaving Families Hungry

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank you for your kind support toward the Food Fund for 2,500 Low-Income Families in Nigeria project. Your generosity reflects concern for families facing daily hunger and hardship. However, the donations received so far are still not enough to begin or launch the planned food distribution.

Across many communities, rising food prices continue to make it difficult for low-income families to afford basic meals. Many households are forced to reduce portion sizes or skip meals entirely. Children and elderly members are often the most affected, facing increased risk of poor nutrition and illness.

For families living on very limited income, even staple foods such as rice, beans, and maize flour are becoming harder to afford. This situation places additional strain on households already struggling to meet other needs like school fees, rent, and medical care.

This project is designed to provide food packs to 2,500 families, including essential items that can support household feeding for a period of time. The goal is to reduce hunger and give families some relief from the pressure of daily food needs.

With proper support, this initiative can help improve nutrition, support children’s well-being, and ease the burden on vulnerable households.

We are grateful for the support already received and remain hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this program and reach families in need.

Thank you for your kindness and continued support.

Sincerely,

Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
