Days of heavy rain caused many rockfalls and landslides along the way. We drove for about 2 hours to deliver the supplies to the tribe.
This year, the Mustard Seed Mission will set up the fifth disaster preparedness and storage station in Tai'an Township, Miaoli County, and cooperate with local churches and communities to train the villagers about disaster prevention.
"Severe landslides and floods have occurred near our tribe. If the rainfall is heavy, the roads are often impassable, and even the safety of the tribe will be affected... and now the tribe is mostly elders and children..." the tribe pastor said.
We look forward to strengthening the tribal residents' preparedness for disasters through the establishment of disaster preparedness and storage station, and to minimizing damage when disasters strike with our community food bank network.
