Trusted World gathers essential resources- clothing, food, and personal care items, inspecting each piece, sorting by size, gender, and style-and then placing the adequate resources into an online inventory system.
This inventory is accessible to local Independent School Districts, the counseling staff, police officers, nonprofits, and social workers to order as needed for their clients. Once an order is placed, the requested items are packaged and delivered directly to the school or picked up by the nonprofit within 48 hours.
This process ensures the individual or family in need receives access to essential resources without transportation or extra time to visit a clothing closet or food pantry. Additionally, saving the social worker, police officer, school counselor, or nonprofit agency estimates 150 hours per year in collecting, sorting, and distributing resources.
Delivering directly to the school eliminates the family's need for transportation and provides a direct access point for distribution. The average turnaround time is 24-72 hours, depending on the day of the week the request was received. Since the onset of COVID-19, Trusted World has maintained our supply chain and increased our deliveries, including delivering directly to the quarantined client's home.
Trusted World is by nature a collaborator. We work with the nonprofits, first responders, police departments, social workers, and school counselors on the front-line identifying individuals and families slipping down the poverty line.
Our partners focus on the economically disadvantaged youth and adults in North Texas. Trusted World works alongside those organizations and social workers, providing food, clothing, and toiletries to individuals and families in need.
Instead of the individual or family becoming further hungry while waiting on the intermediary to process paperwork and secure resources, we intervene immediately. Because the process is quick and efficient, it becomes one more minor problem that an individual or family must face while finding a job.
Our approach is a linear time for an intervention- this is the earliest time for a response. It reduces the time to intervene and exceptionally increases the likelihood of success. It moves the teacher, social worker, police officer, and first responder's role from finding the problem and helping them become the one to solve it.
Because Trusted World works directly with agencies assisting people in need and not directly with the public, we are consistently in need of funds to purchase the food we supply. On average, our food cost is $5,000 a month or $60,000 a year. Trusted World needs 50 people a month to give $100 to maintain or food supply.
