Trusted World gathers essential resources- clothing, food, and personal care items, inspecting each piece, sorting by size, gender, and style-and then placing the adequate resources into an online inventory system.
This inventory is accessible to local Independent School Districts, the counseling staff, police officers, nonprofits, and social workers to order as needed for their clients. Once an order is placed, the requested items are packaged and delivered directly to the school or picked up by the nonprofit within 48 hours.

This process ensures the individual or family in need receives access to essential resources without transportation or extra time to visit a clothing closet or food pantry. Additionally, saving the social worker, police officer, school counselor, or nonprofit agency estimates 150 hours per year in collecting, sorting, and distributing resources.

Delivering directly to the school eliminates the family's need for transportation and provides a direct access point for distribution. The average turnaround time is 24-72 hours, depending on the day of the week the request was received. Since the onset of COVID-19, Trusted World has maintained our supply chain and increased our deliveries, including delivering directly to the quarantined client's home.

Trusted World is by nature a collaborator. We work with the nonprofits, first responders, police departments, social workers, and school counselors on the front-line identifying individuals and families slipping down the poverty line.
Our partners focus on the economically disadvantaged youth and adults in North Texas. Trusted World works alongside those organizations and social workers, providing food, clothing, and toiletries to individuals and families in need.
Instead of the individual or family becoming further hungry while waiting on the intermediary to process paperwork and secure resources, we intervene immediately. Because the process is quick and efficient, it becomes one more minor problem that an individual or family must face while finding a job.

Our approach is a linear time for an intervention- this is the earliest time for a response. It reduces the time to intervene and exceptionally increases the likelihood of success. It moves the teacher, social worker, police officer, and first responder's role from finding the problem and helping them become the one to solve it.

Because Trusted World works directly with agencies assisting people in need and not directly with the public, we are consistently in need of funds to purchase the food we supply.  On average, our food cost is $5,000 a month or $60,000 a year.  Trusted World needs 50 people a month to give $100 to maintain or food supply.

Trusted World works alongside social workers, first responders, crime victim advocates, independent school districts (ISD), and nonprofits fulfilling their clients' basic needs to stabilize their critical clients at no cost. Providing the essential resources directly to the advocates, counselors, and social workers reduces the time they spend working on sourcing the resources and establishing an immediate rapport with the family.

Since the onset of COVID-19, we proudly expanded our partnerships. Increasing from 380 agencies served to over 450 agencies to help fill gaps and ensure local families have access to food, clothing, and personal care items. Access remains uncertain for families due to COVID-19 and, most recently, the Texas winter storm's impact. Community support and outreach are critical, and Trusted World will remain consistent. Our expansion includes direct deliveries to the doorsteps and hotels of individuals quarantined due to COVID-19.

For Trusted World, the demand is quickly outgrowing our means. The need for funding to ensure we can maintain a consistent supply of food has been increasing rapidly. At this time, Trusted World is purchasing $5,000 worth of nonperishable food products, which meets our clients' needs for roughly six weeks.

Catholic Charities, Red Cross, Mosaics Family Services, Baylor Scott & White clinics are merely a few of the nonprofit agencies and organizations we serve. You can view the list on our website here.

Trusted World has increased our deliveries from 27% to 83% due to the onset of COVID-19. Many of our partners are quarantined, working from home and unable to pass along the resources to their clients, therefore Trusted World has taken on the additional responsibility of delivering directly to the clients' home rather than delivering to the school, non-profit, or partnering agencies office.

Most of the clothing and personal care items are donated.  Trusted World recycles torn or inappropriate clothing and uses the pennies on the dollars received to purchase new underwear. Since the onset of COVID-19, Trusted World has had to buy food to keep up with the demand.  As of today, Trusted World has received $15,000 in grants for food and spent $22,000.

Today, Trusted World is leading the fight against situational poverty as one of the top resource/distribution centers for clothing, food, and personal care items in North Texas. Trusted World distributes to over 3,000 unduplicated individuals annually through a network of more than 340 partner agencies.

Trusted World is working with local police departments in North Texas to help people in need. In June, four local police departments - Rowlett, Garland, Plano, and McKinney - in North Texas installed the Trusted World "police officer app" into their phone, computers, and tablets, providing them with direct access to resources offered by Trusted World.

Now, when an officer sees a person in need, they can order clothing in the exact size, style, and gender, food for a week, and persona hygiene products immediately. Trusted World work with the local police departments, has increased the community's goodwill while providing necessary resources to ensure people can live, work, and play in North Texas. Trusted World is currently in talks with five additional departments. The interest in the app is growing significantly. Officers see how they can make a difference and impact the communities who need them the most.

As time passes and our community continues to shelter in place, we see the need for food and personal care items rise. More and more people are finding themselves and their families facing situational poverty and in need of assistance.

Texas' unemployment numbers jumped more than 800% in a week. The numbers climbed from 16,000 Texans filing unemployment claims to 155,000. And our COVID-19 cases increased by 300% this past week.

Trusted World needs your help more than ever. Local food banks are running low. Trusted World is working to establish ourselves as a vendor with major food distributors to purchase food. But our financial resources are strained. Please consider donating to help us keep our community feed. Any amount helps.

Below you can view photos of our neighborhood captains who are collecting food and a video from one of our partner agencies. We are all one community living in one world- let's make it a great place for everyone to live.
