Food Aid for Vulnerable Communities in Bogota

On December 9th, 2023, Projectar Sin Fronteras (PSF) and our partner, SAP, joined forces once again, to bring joy and support to the Tocaimita community in Usme, Bogotá.

Together, we distributed 50 baskets filled with fresh and non-perishable food items, conducted a workshop on healthy eating habits with an Andean cuisine focus, and donated second-hand clothing generously provided by our customers at the Sembrando Confianza agroecological market.

This day was filled with warmth, learning, and community bonding. The workshop provided valuable insights into healthy eating and the rich culinary traditions of the Andean region. The distribution of food baskets and clothing brought much-needed relief to the community members, while the shared experiences strengthened the bond between PSF, SAP, and the Tocaimita residents.

This collaborative effort was truly enriching for our partners at SAP. It allowed them to witness firsthand the impact of their donations and volunteer work, inspiring them to continue supporting our mission.

We're excited to announce our next food donation event! This December, we aim to reach 200 families in a new community and provide them with essential food supplies. To make this possible, we're calling on volunteers to help us pack and deliver the food baskets.

This event will also include educational workshops on healthy eating habits, creating a food garden and menstrual health talks, fostering a healthier and more informed community.
