The economic crisis in Bogota has left thousands of people struggling to meet their basic needs. Your support will help us provide essential food and hygiene supplies to 5,000 individuals. By distributing food baskets filled with nutritious, locally sourced products, we're not only alleviating hunger but also promoting sustainable agriculture. Additionally, we'll empower women and girls with menstrual health education and provide them with menstrual cups. Join us in making a lasting impact!
Thousands of Colombians living on the outskirts of Bogota are struggling to survive on meager incomes, trapped in a cycle of poverty. With 42.5% of the population living on less than $91 a month and 15% on less than $40, basic necessities like food are becoming increasingly out of reach. Hunger hinders children's ability to learn and women struggle to manage their menstrual health. Receiving fresh food surpluses and learning sustainable farming within their communities could transform lives.
PSF will provide food and hygiene kits to 5,000 individuals. Each kit will include non-perishable and fresh food items, as well as hygiene products, including 100 menstrual cups. Alongside each delivery, we will conduct workshops and distribute guides to promote good environmental practices and menstrual health. This initiative will not only alleviate immediate hunger but also empower communities through education and sustainable practices, fostering long-term self-sufficiency.
We're more than just a relief effort. We want to be a catalyst for change. By providing food and hygiene supplies, along with education on sustainable agriculture and menstrual health, we're empowering vulnerable families to increase their food security, experiment with food production that can lead to additional income opportunities, improve women's health and well-being, and contribute to a greener and more resilient community.
