Support for Flood Affected families in Bangladesh

In July 2026, Bangladesh experienced severe flash floods and waterlogging caused by continuous monsoon rainfall and upstream water flow. According to the United Nations in Bangladesh, approximately 1.28 million people were affected across several districts, with the greatest impact in Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Bandarban, Rangamati, Khagrachhari, Moulvibazar and Habiganj. In addition, prolonged rainfall caused severe waterlogging in parts of Dhaka, disrupting the daily lives of thousands of low-income families.

In response, OBHIZATRIK Foundation launched an emergency relief operation to provide immediate humanitarian assistance to affected communities. Emergency food assistance, relief bags, safe drinking water and cooked meals were distributed in Kurigram, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Dhaka, prioritizing the most vulnerable families.

 With the support of generous donors and contributions received through GlobalGiving, OBHIZATRIK Foundation was able to respond quickly and efficiently, ensuring that emergency assistance reached communities when they needed it most.
