With the resources received at the end of 2024, our organization is significantly helping four cities in the region most affected by the floods of April/May 2024; mainly with emergency aid items and socio-emotional rescue projects.
- Rio Pardo: milk, fun and repellent for more than 20 families, impacting nearly 100 people (photos added in the previous report).
- Sinimbu: more than 20 different items to supply a hospital ("health post") that lost everything (thermal bags, infrared lamps, among other basic elements for health care).
- Vera Cruz: a non-violent communication project is beginning, in partnership with a local radio station, where students from an affected area will be the participants and will be able to work on relevant topics within communication.
- Rio Pardinho: Part of the funds received were used to support an existing music project in this town that was severely affected. New instruments and differents materials to learn that were lost when the water entered the room will be purchased, as well as financial support for the costs of the instructors.
- Sinimbu: In April, a project will begin that aims to continue helping the most affected children, using sports as a social tool. There will be basketball classes with talks about the emotional situation they are still experiencing. This project already exists, and with the GG disbursement we will continue.
