This program set up CCF emergency shelter since day one after flood. A field kitchen was set up at the shelter with 20 volunteers. Our shelter provides the meal and clean water, health services, and special support (for disabled people, bedridden patients, and young children) to 300 people.
Many provinces in the northern region have already been hit by Typhoon Yagi and caused severe flooding, including Nan, Phare, Phayao, Sukothai, and Chiang Rai. But the situation was worst in the Chiang Rai that recorded the biggest rainfall in recent days. The region has been battered by heavy rainfall over the last week, causing deadly flooding and landslides that have killed at least 16 people and 133 injured, according to the national public health.
