Flood Emergency: Food Relief in Pakistan

When a Family Loses Everything, Food Becomes Hope

A flood can destroy a home in hours.

It can wash away crops, livestock, household belongings, savings, and the livelihood a family depended on for years. For families already living in poverty, recovering from such devastation can feel almost impossible.

Today, many flood-affected families in Pakistan are not simply trying to rebuild their homes. They are trying to find enough food to survive while they begin putting their lives back together.

This is why this project remains so important.

Moses Welfare Foundation is working to provide emergency food assistance to families affected by flooding, helping them survive the immediate crisis while they take their first steps toward recovery.

Our Fundraising Progress

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported this emergency effort, including our 9 donors and 2 fundraisers.

  • Fundraising goal: $300,000
  • Raised: $603
  • Remaining: $299,397
  • Donations: 9
  • Monthly donors: 0
  • Fundraisers: 2
  • Project period: 1 year

The most recent donation was received in July 2026.

Although $603 has been raised, the scale of the need remains enormous.

Thousands of families still need help rebuilding their lives after devastating floods.

The Crisis Does Not End When the Water Goes Down

For families affected by flooding, the emergency continues long after floodwaters recede.

Homes may be damaged or destroyed.

Crops and livestock may be lost.

Sources of income may disappear.

Food stocks can be ruined.

Families may be forced to live in temporary shelters or unsafe conditions.

Parents who were already struggling to provide for their children can suddenly find themselves with nothing.

For a family with no savings and no income, even purchasing basic food can become impossible.

Children can go hungry. Parents may skip meals so their children can eat. Vulnerable older people may go without adequate nutrition.

Recovery cannot begin on an empty stomach.

Our Solution: Food for Families in Crisis

Through this project, Moses Welfare Foundation aims to provide emergency food kits to flood-affected families who have lost access to necessities.

Each food package is designed to provide essential items such as:

  • Rice
  • Flour
  • Lentils
  • Cooking oil
  • Tea
  • Other essential food items
  • Clean drinking water where needed

A food kit can help provide nourishment for a family of five for approximately one week, giving families immediate support during one of the most difficult periods of their lives.

More Than Food

An emergency food package is more than a collection of household supplies.

It gives a mother something to prepare for her children.

It gives a father relief from the fear of not being able to provide a meal.

It gives children the nourishment they need while their family begins recovering.

And it gives a family a little breathing room to focus on repairing their home, finding work, replacing lost belongings, and rebuilding their future.

Food relief is the first step toward recovery.

Helping Families Rebuild Their Lives

Our vision goes beyond responding to immediate hunger.

We want to help families regain stability after losing so much.

When families have access to food, they can begin focusing on the next challenges: restoring their homes, returning children to school, recovering livelihoods, and rebuilding their communities.

Emergency assistance can help prevent a temporary disaster from becoming a long-term cycle of poverty.

By standing beside families during their most difficult moments, we can help them move from survival toward recovery.

The Human Cost Behind Every Number

$300,000 may seem like a large fundraising target.

But behind this number are thousands of individual stories.

A family whose home was destroyed.

A parent who lost their source of income.

A child who cannot return to school.

An elderly person who has nowhere safe to sleep.

A mother wondering how she will provide the next meal.

These are not just statistics.

They are families trying to rebuild their lives.

And they should not have to face this crisis alone.

We Still Have a Long Way to Go

We have raised $603 toward our $300,000 goal.

We are thankful for every donor and fundraiser who has already helped.

But with $299,397 still needed, the gap remains enormous.

The need is urgent, and the recovery will take time.

Every donation can help us reach another family with essential food and provide a little hope in the middle of overwhelming hardship.

Help a Family Take the Next Step

Your support can help put food on a family's table when they have lost almost everything.

It can help a child receive a nutritious meal.

It can help parents preserve their limited resources for rebuilding.

And it can remind a flood-affected family that they have not been forgotten.

Give food. Restore dignity. Rebuild hope.

Together, we can help families move beyond the devastation of floods and begin rebuilding their lives with strength, dignity, and hope.

Their Homes Were Destroyed. Their Hope Should Not Be.

The floods may have taken away homes, livelihoods, and possessions.

But together, we can help protect something the floods cannot destroy:

hope for a better tomorrow.

Please stand with flood-affected families in Pakistan. Your generosity can help provide food today and hope for the journey toward recovery.
