REPORT TITLE: OCEAN INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR CLIMATE MANAGERS

PROJECT TITLE:FLOOD DISASTER RESPONSE AT TAMILNADU,S.INDIA.

PROJECT SITE:THARUVAIKULAM,THOOTHUKUDI DIST.

 Govt. of India, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Installed Earth system Science organization (ESSO) This organization installed Indian National can be for ocean Information serves (INCOIS) this ESSU – uncois is a leading institute on the field of operational oceano graphic the coastal community. The ESSO – uncois also her up with the several national and international oceano graphic institutes to improve the quality of its services. Major / Extension / Research activities this INCOIS include oceans observation, ocean modalling, ocean data combination, land analysis  satellite oceano graphy and the main focus given to coastal vulnerability studies, fish potential zone identification. This INCOIS included  many branches in India and installed this system at our flood affected Tharuvaikulam  coastal village also    our Global giving  aided project team conducted capacity building training  for INCOIS to fishermen  community and also fisherman school students. To improve the coverage and penetration, adaneies information and communication technology have been adapted the following point dealt by our Global Giving project Chevalier Roche Society Director to students.Potential fishing zones,More points as sea  Surface temperature,More beneficial to artisanal, small mechanized sector fisherman,Also provide various disaster / especially TSunami easily warning systems, Also produce information on coral bleaching .The above valid points these dealt us detail by our disaster the fishermen community students

BEACH CLEAN UP:Our Honorable Prime Minister,Govt.of India has announced and motivated many schemes in the name of “clean India” in order to clean the whole India.This activity jointly collaborated with Govt.of India,Net fish with Our Global Giving aided Project Staff Team. They are

  1. Cleaning the coastal areas
  2. In order to clean the coastal areas we need to remove the solid wastes  such as Industrial wastes, wastes of the  coastal living beings, plastic wastes and some other wastes
  3. We need to keep the sea cleaned and its surrounding also
  4. How shall we keep up the environmental surroundings of the coastal are as
  5. How shall we remove wastes in the coastal areas and its surrounding areas?
  6. We need to clean the ocean areas also
  7. It was advised to the people not to use the plastic articles. We need to live adjustable to the nature
  8. Many house hold wastes, Plastic wastes, Industrial wastes and all drainage wastes are emitted in to the sea
  9. Because of the emission of Industrial wastes in to the sea, Fishes prawns and turtles are very much affected by these wastes and sea water is polluted.

            That is why money fishes, Prawns   and turtles die and float up on the sea water. Even in alive condition of these fishes and turtles after they ate the industrial wastes, when men eat these fishes they create some diseases to men. In order to prevent these diseases, we need to be careful and keep the coastal line be clean.Under this project we taught school boy and girl students about removing and cleaning these wastes. Also we insisted the school students not to use the plastic materials. Also we asked them to inform about this project to all of their friends and relatives regarding this we teach.We shall not add the solid wastes and plastic wastes in to the sea.We must be careful about throwing the solid wastes and plastic wastes in to the waste box on dust bin .We must keep clean the coastal areas.That is why with the help of school students we cleaned the coastal area. We removed the wastes in the coastal area and fishing harbour area. In these areas we cleaned with the help of students. Also they took oath they would keep the nation clean. Finally the vote of thanks was delivered by Govt.of India,MPEDA,Net Fish State Co-Ordinator.
