Clown Me In provides free, public and accessible touring clown shows for children and adults in some of the most disadvantaged regions around Lebanon. With every show, we will reach between 200-300 people, at the rate of two shows per day in different areas, to provide them with much-needed laughter and positive, humanitarian messages.
People all over Lebanon, including displaced Syrians and Palestinians, are collectively suffering from a myriad of problems on social, political, environmental levels. Many disadvantaged regions lack access to artistic and cultural projects, and many children are deprived of one of the key elements of childhood: fun. Our tour projects aim to reach as many people in as many different areas as possible to provide them with much needed lightheartedness and fun that transcends language or culture.
Clown Me In works to provide relief to communities using the power of laughter and play. We create fun, safe and educational shows with positive, humanitarian messages that can be performed anywhere and for anyone. This is such a critical, but often overlooked form of relief work, especially for children who don't get the chance to experience childhood
Besides the immediate and gratifying psychological benefits of laughter which help people to deal with emotional trauma, we put on performances with impactful and empowering messages that stay with people even after the shows are over.
