Fishan thrives in his daily activities and demonstrates strong social behaviour within the herd. His consistent companionship with the females highlights his nurturing nature, as he plays a crucial role in fostering bonds among herd members. This connection not only enhances his relationships with the elephants but also supports the overall cohesion of the group.
In addition to his supportive role among the females, Fishan is instrumental in maintaining harmony within the herd, particularly among the younger elephants. He actively engages with juveniles like Mambo and Zindoga, guiding their interactions and helping resolve any disputes. His calm demeanour and authoritative presence create a peaceful environment, ensuring the young elephants feel secure and supported.
Overall, Fishan’s contributions to the herd extend beyond mere companionship; he embodies the qualities of a strong leader and caretaker. His ability to balance playfulness with responsibility allows him to influence social dynamics positively. As he continues to grow, Fishan will likely play an increasingly vital role in shaping his elephant family's social structure and wellbeing.
