First-Time Pad Access for Schoolgirls Who Use Rags

Lack of Pads Forces Girls Out of School

By Joy Ojochogwu Etubi | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank you for your interest in the First-Time Pad Access for Schoolgirls Who Use Rags project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the planned distribution has not yet begun.

Across many communities, schoolgirls continue to miss classes because they cannot afford sanitary pads. Many resort to using unsafe materials such as rags, leaves, or paper, which can lead to discomfort and health risks.

This situation causes repeated absence from school, leaving girls behind in their studies and, in some cases, leading to dropout.

This project is designed to provide a 12-month supply of safe sanitary pads for 10,000 girls, along with school-based health education to support proper hygiene and reduce stigma.

With the right support, girls can attend school consistently, stay healthy, and learn with confidence.

We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this project can begin and reach girls in need.

Thank you for your kindness and continued support.

Sincerely,

Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
Project Leader
