As the holiday season came to a close, we have multiplied our efforts toward the campaign to build Armenia’s 1st Inclusive Playground. In 2015, our campaign will see new partnerships, collaborations, and events. For example, we are cooperating closely with schools that provide inclusive education and a theatre group with children with disabilities. The interactions with these groups help us understand the most urgent needs of disabled children.
After reaching out to numerous local and international organizations, corporations, and nonprofits, a number of groups responded to our call for action, with which we are currently outlining strategies for cooperation. Various corporations in Armenia have also voiced their readiness to incorporate our project into their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. This is an important step as it not only financially benefits the project, but highlights the needs of disabled children as an important social issue.
Lastly, in the coming weeks, we will plan an evening dedicated to the campaign, during which we will interactively present the project to the public and encourage direct participation in the project. We have been working with various artists to create sketches and designs for the playground (seen here). Stay tuned for details and further updates!
